X-ray of an Ex-god

Hooked boy, the Auroras witness your wolves.
Maiden, Mother and Crone spy the contours
That were taken in handfuls,
In bagfuls hanging on your hook. 

Detour. Like so, I was treated;
No more than a sacrificial umbra your cronies overbooked.
This was your playbook, wasn’t it?
On your way to Pure Sky, I was a detour. 

Good purist, you sold me cures.
I bought a fantasy, a milieu from your mouth,
Drank every succulent drip of wormwood, took the Devil
From the runes and shook them good. 

Ambush, this one silent and effortless. Firewood is scarce in these parts
And the likelihood of finding kindling in slayed resolve
Is high. The search was ripe in your fingers, delectable.
The doors open willingly to an ambush. 

Hoofed incubus that reaped lamb skin
From sheets and gluttony.
You recognized the blues and harnessed the indigos,
Clomping them bruised with wicked hooves. 

Look, valiant octopus,
I saw the pulp and counted eight outputs
Where your tentacles pulled and split my body
Into miniatures. How little did they look? 

Incarnation of a crook, taking what you could
Behind a costume of knighthood. Oracle wisdom
Bent by barefoot priestesses. Veiled sycophants
Hailing the Horned Incarnate. 

Foolish gold! You are no Apollo, no sun.
You should have scheduled your Loki-tongue with a mortal.
Draw the entrance, the yurt doors, and look at the mortar, the spoons.
A feast of venom cooked for fools. 

Rue of endings–the hideous finality is your disbelief.
The Zoryas are kindred and nothing eludes them. The ravens, too.
Trash the ground with foaming mouth now, poor rook.
Ah, what waste. What rue!

Boon, these shrouds. I regard your corpse with one glass-eye.
Even Death overlooks my cheat of him.
Predictable narcissist, you overplayed your pull.
This terrain is textbook. Your endgame, my boon.
